The Suns Lifestyle range is designed to stay outdoors all year round so we ensure the furniture requires minimal maintenance. We have some tips to keep your furniture in perfect condition.
Suns Lifestyle products are fully weatherproof and designed to stay outside all year round. Natural materials such as teak will discolour over time if left untreated, this is purely down to personal preference and we think teak's soft silver grey can add to the charm of the product. Despite the fact that all Suns Lifestyle products are designed to stay outside all year round, placing them inside – at times when you’re not using them – will only result in an even longer lifespan.
Below you’ll find some tips to help keep your Suns Lifestyle product in tip-top condition.
Our products are easy to clean and for best results, we always recommend the use of Suns Shine Cleaners and Protectors.

Strong, durable and rustproof, aluminium is perfectly suited to pergolas and outdoor furniture.
Our range uses industrial aluminium profiles with a thickness of 1.5mm above average, resulting in a more solid construction and longer lifespan. The aluminium we use is double-coated to enhance longevity and resistance to marks and weathering.
Aluminium is absolutely maintenance-friendly and rust-resistant. Suns Lifestyle aluminium is double-coated for durability and will resist the elements. In order to keep your furniture or pergola looking good, it is advisable to occasionally treat the aluminium with a protector or gentle cleaner, so dirt doesn’t easily adhere to the material.
The only maintenance required for aluminium furniture is to clean it with a damp cloth to remove any surface marks. This keeps the aluminium looking good as new. For pergolas and weatherproof side screens, clean using a jet wash on a gentle setting.
To keep your pergola functioning at its best, we recommend keeping the gutters clear of any leaves and debris (as you would the gutters on your house) - this helps the drainage channels to function as they should and carry rainwater away smoothly without spilling over the edge. In the event of heavy rain, spills can happen due to the sheer amount of water passing through the channels.
